Craftsman`s bushcrafting knife This knife is designed with the experienced user who will be able to experience the benefits of the build. It is made from 4mm stock 01 high carbon tool steel and ground with a tapered tang to 2.5mm on the 100mm handle and a distal taper to 3mm on the 95mm blade. Tempered to 60/61RC this blade takes and holds a great edge but is a little harder to sharpen than the more general use blades, it is however still very manageable with any sharpening gear from A/O stones to water stones and obviously diamond stones. Never neglect the strop!
This knife is made for comfort and dexterity to whittle and carve any of the myriad useful items you can envisage in the bush, at camp or on the trail. The fine tip makes internal radii easy and smooth whilst the deeper grind at the handle gives great control for stronger cuts like notching and feathering and with the hand filling curves and lack of any sharp edges, any grip is comfortable and secure.
Cleaning of fish and game are a breeze and with a slimmer tip even kitchen duties are no problem with this blade.
Blade length 95mm handle 105mm. Please note measurements are approximate, and adjustable, as all work is carried out by hand and eye.
